Care and Support
Expert care & support from the specialists in symptom management & comfort for Niagara County residents facing end-of-life situations.
Services
Since 1988, Niagara Hospice has been privileged to serve more than 30,000 Niagara County residents and their families.
Thanks to a dedicated and hard-working staff, volunteer corps and partners in care, Niagara Hospice has evolved to meet the increasing needs of the seriously ill and their families.
Hospice care is appropriate for people with any advanced stage illness, not just cancer, where the prognosis is a life expectancy of approximately 6 months or less – if the illness were to run its normal course. Some patients receive hospice care beyond 6 months. In fact, studies show that people with end-of-life illnesses who choose hospice care often live longer than patients who do not elect hospice services.*

Niagara Hospice’s dedication to providing the highest level of care is recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC). This accreditation demonstrates a commitment to providing quality care and services to consumers through compliance with nationally recognized standards.
Hospice gives hope for comfort when a cure is no longer feasible; hope that a secure, familiar care setting can be enjoyed; hope for personal dignity and freedom from unwanted procedures. Additionally, Hospice gives hope that the family will be nurtured and supported, even after the death of their loved one. Many of our families have told us that choosing Niagara Hospice allowed them to spend more precious time to be together.
Every family’s situation is unique. You do not have to face a late-stage illness alone – we are only a phone call away.
Our family always puts yours first during difficult times. Call 716-HOSPICE or (716) 439-4417 to speak to a nurse and learn more about how we can help your entire family.

We manage symptoms and ease pain to reduce patient discomfort and caregiver stress. Our services are available in family and caregiver homes, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and Niagara Hospice House. The sooner we receive a call, the longer we can support your family’s needs. “The care my wife received was phenomenal. I always felt like we were the priority. The visits by the nurse when my wife wasn’t feeling well were so helpful when I didn’t know what to do.”
